2010 Mini Cooper S 6-Speed. I like, but it drives super differently from anything else I’ve ever driven. What do you want to know about it?

They’re fun to drive but having driven on hydraulic clutches since the late 90s (last mechanical one I had access to was the Bronco) I found the pedal to be surprisingly stiff. Good, with a clear catch point, but stiff.

It is indeed quite stiff, and the shifter is very short and stiff as well

How did you get it, and what makes it so different from what you’ve driven previously?

Turo. Even compared to the Alfa and the WRX, this car is insanely tight. The clutch and the shifter are both very short and stiff, the steering is tight, the suspension is nonexistent and any bump in the road sends the car skittering all over the place. The trade off for this is that the handling is telepathic.

Two things:
What’s the back seat like?
How much capacity do you have with the seats folded down?
I might have thought about potentially getting a Mini to replace my aging Legacy.

It’s small, I haven’tit’s small, I haven’t had a chance to hop back there to test exactly how small, but with the seats folded down it does fit both of our large suitcases and a backpack.

Sounds like a lot of fun - but maybe not the best DD unless you live where the roads are smooth (ie not the Midwest )

I hope you like it as much as I do ours. I view it as a very spacious 2-seater that can take 4 in a pinch. The key to making that back seats usable is to make the shortest people sit in front!
